Be Prepared!
Discover Nature is an exciting, demanding experience. We don't cook for you, set up your tent, or carry your haversack. We coach you how to do it. Activities can strenuous, weather conditions unpleasant, and fellow campers may not be always agreeable. We expect you to be able to cope with less than ideal situations and be ready to take care of yourself, and still enjoy the outdoor learning. |

Campers should be prepared for rigorous activity and be excited about learning what we have to teach. They should care about learning and apply new skills and ideas at the first opportunity. They should come prepared to work hard, care about others, and put the welfare of the group before their own. Before you arrive, it's good to think about the very purpose - educational as well as personal.

Most participants find the personal demands of a camp challenging at times. We do not require a fitness test, but better shape you're on before a camp, the more you will be able to accomplish and enjoy. Before a camp we recommend daily exercise like jogging, aerobic exercises, swimming etc., to build endurance, flexibility, coordination and strength. |
|
Physical disorders / previous injuries do not always prevent attending, but can limit certain activities. For knee, foot & back problems do get a doctor's advice.
