THE PROGRAM:
We only take
limited participants as this allows us to give every one individual attention. The activities in the field are held from 6 am to 10 pm.
Members of both the sex tend to enroll pretty much equally. We do not take participant under the age of 8 for the course is strenuous and demanding. We do not have any time or energy left to do baby sitting!
Some of the qualities the participants must have are patience and love for the outdoors, for they must contend with heat, insects and primitive conditions in the field. They must be willing to wade through muck and mud, be able to break trail, and have a sence of humour.
Relying on the natural enviorment as a class room, the instructors help young people to enjoy, understand & protect the natural environment.

(*Unit of Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd, Govt. Karnataka undertaking) >>>more
Unique Attraction |
Only place in the world where one can witness the largest congregation of wild Asiatic Elephants in summer |
Nestled in the southern fringes of the Nagarhole National Park , the Kabini River Lodge is a perfect getaway for nature lovers. The breathtaking locale with the tranquil backwaters of the River Kabini presents an ideal setting for a long-awaited vacation. Once the hunting lodge of the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore, Kabini River Lodge is today rated by the British Tatler's Travel Guide as one of the top 5 wildlife resorts in the world. Kabini is pure elephant country as one can see numerous herds at a time. However, the blaze of the elusive tiger always haunts you as you roam through the verdant jungle here. Once widely known for the mass elephant-trapping operations called 'Khedda', Kabini stands as the one of the brightest beacons for wildlife preservation in India today.
